Chris Gruler- Loves Giving Assists
Chris Gruler was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds with the 3rd overall pick in the 2002 draft out of Liberty High School in Brentwood, California. He played professionally for five years but after three reconstructive shoulder surgeries Chris was released from his contract in 2006. During his baseball career he began to get involved in real estate in Scottsdale, Arizona. After four years in the Real Estate game he turned his attention to his unique experience from the game and developed Protege, LLC. Using his contacts he has developed over the years he knew he wanted to stay close to the game without the feeling of being too involved. With his story being a unique one, he wants to share it with as many athletes and parents as possible.

Chris is in the process of writing his tell all book about his past experience in the crazy game of baseball which should be completed in late January. He lives in Scottsdale, Arizona. Close by are his parents Steve and Irene. His younger sister Melissa is currently working as a hair stylist in Scottsdale, dominating…

Whitney Thomas- Marketing Champion

Whitney Thomas is a recent graduate of California State University, Fullerton, she received her B.A. in Communications and minored in Women’s Studies. During her collegiate years she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority where she discovered her love for philanthropy, focusing on supporting victims of domestic violence. As a part of the Miss America program she has won the titles of Miss Placentia 2011 and is currently serving as Miss Phoenix 2012. She enjoys volunteering at a local shelter, prepping for pageants, rocking out on her flute and being a Marketing Champion!

With her scholarship earnings she plans to pursue a masters degree in the marketing field. Whitney will be preparing for the Miss Arizona pageant in June.
